Having left NZ, I have certainly acquired a 'thrifty' mentality.
I notice back in the UK there are many sites focused on helping the consumer save money.
One site I like is www.kayak.co.uk in that it covers not only the UK and Europe, but also NZ and Australia locations. For local NZ things the price is shown in pounds but if you click through to say Quantas then the price is shown in NZ$ for say a flight from Wellington to Sydney.
Most of the NZ airline carriers are covered.
Great for flights, hotels and car hire.
Well worth having a play, and it can help with some of the leg work in terms of understanding what the options are.
Expedia.co.nz now exists and it would be interesting to do a price compare?
Rabbit.
