we're from cambridge and went to the nuffield on trumpington road. very efficent, in and out in 30 mins including x ray and results in a week. took a few days to get the appointment though so call early.

cost about £300.

good luck! where are you headed?

Hi Jules

it all depends where I end up getting a job. I work in power stations, I've got a meeting at Huntly during out October recce, and several leads to chase. At the moment Hamilton is looking favourite.

Hi Stuart

We're in Wisbech and looked at both Cambs and Norwich. We would have had to have made 2 trips on separate occasions for Norwich so we opted for Cambs. Very friendly and efficient, 30 mins in with the Dr and a short drive to the x-ray dept. Cost around £600 for 2 adults.

Do you mean that you went the Nuffield for the x-rays and then Aviaition Medica for the panel doctor?

That's what we did. Total price: £715 for two adults and two kids.

Seemingly everything used to be done in the same place but they've just moved units. The actual panel Dr is at The Cambridge Physiotherapy Clinic, Unit A, Magog Court on the outskirts of Cambridge. We were asked to go there first and then onto the x-ray dept at Nuffiled, Trumpington Rd.

Will my daughter need a medical etc? She's still only 2 now. What age would they be required to have a medical?

Hi Stuart....

This link may help

http://glossary.immigration.govt.nz/healthrequriementsresidence.htm

The NZIS website also suggests....

Each member of your family is required to have a medical form completed. Family members 11 years and over are also required to have a chest X-ray.

This may also be cited in the above link.

Hope this helps

Forgot to add this also.....a link to the Cambs Migration Medical Services website

Hello,

I replied to this a minute ago and the message seems to have disappeared!

We were in Wymondham so got our medicals done in Norwich. The GP and the X ray places are on opposite sides of the city, plus they both only do immigration stuff part time and we couldn't get appointments around the same time so we had our X rays 3 weeks before out medicals so I wouldn't recommend Norwich if you have to come any distance.
