Hi... All...

We've been in Napier (Taradale really) since Sept 2007. Was recommended to visit this forum and have been lurking for awhile and have decided to say HI!

About us: We're originally from St Albans, Herts. We moved over with 2 kids, daughter 12yrs and son 15yrs. It took about 9months to get our PR on OH Engineering Quals. We didn't do a reccie just sold up and shipped every thing over! No jobs lined up, we had an extended holiday! Bought our house 4 months after arriving! Got two puppies 6 weeks ago!

Hey There,

We are not far from you, in Havelock North, been here nearly 4yrs now, we did same as you, came on holiday and took it from there. Glad we choose Hawkes Bay, if your looking for good weather, its certainly the place to be. We have a 17yr daughter, she loves it here NOW :roll(long story) that's her in my avatar riding her horse on ocean beach. Never even looked at a horse before we came here.
Anyway welcome to the forum.

We used to live in Cottonmill La, just a few doors up from the old nunery ruins!

How strange...! We too are 'The Hodges' from St Albans! (It's our surname!)

Horse riding along Ocean Beach looks wonderful. I had to sell my horse before we moved, I did look at shipping him over too much ££££!

A Hawkes Bay get together sounds great! Although we've been here just under a year we don't know many folk here! The kids have made loads of school friends, OH is at work all day..... That just leaves me at home all day!! Although our puppies keep me busy with lots of 'walkies'!!
