Hi,
I posted 100,000 or less co I thought you meant £ but this really means $250,000 dollars


For us costs are, in dollars (up to now)

20,000 Emigration expense EOI, ITA, Meds, cert transcripts postage, shipping, flights etc this is approx
20,000 people carrier
13, 000 car
2,500 advance rent and rent before we got a pay packet
500 child care before we got pay
5,000 general stuff to set up home and get a little more settled

NOT included is day to day costs like petrol, food, clothes etc and we haven't by any means splurged or gone mad - quite the opposite

In actual terms of our bank balance we've probably spent in total including the actual moving costs and day to day stuff etc etc around £ 25-£30 000. Its not cheap!


BUT I know we could've spent a lot less - we were very lucky to have the collateral from our house to use and a bit to leave in the bank for a future mortgage

Hope this is of some help to people but don't let figures bother you ! you cna do things here on a much smaller budget if you want to.
