Which are the good/best places to stay in Auckland and Manukau City suburbs?

I am looking at renting a 2 or 3 bedroom house with a small yard (if possible) for a weekly rent of $300/pw.

Hmm, it's been a while since we rented, but for the Howick/Bucklands Beach end of Manukau, $300 will not bet much more than a 1 bed flat. We were paying $650 a week for a four bed house with a tiny yard in 2006-7. Possibly somewhere like Mt Wellington?

I have seen rentals (possibly only one bed), in good areas such as mission bay and Parnell for about $350 a week, so they are out there. I saw them on realestate.co.nz. Not sure if thats where you are looking, but just thought I'd let you know.
