Hi,

I know this has been asked before and I think I have it under control but I suppose I'm just looking for reassurance that the evidence I have confirming mine and OH relationship is enough. What I have:

Old contents insurance policy showing stating him as also covered by the policy.

A signed declaration of our relationship status, signed in front of a commissioner of oaths (needed it for Sing immigration purposes)

Bank statements from the UK. We had individual accounts but coming to the same address.

Bank statements from Singapore, joint account.

His long term social visitors pass in Singapore which is dependant on my employment pass.

A wedding invitation (might have a few Christmas cards knocking about too but need to hunt for them).

Some letters supporting our relationship from my mum and dad, his mum and step dad and his brother.

A handful of photographs of us together in various parts of the world.

What do you think, enough? :uhoh

Thanks!

Hi Incognito

You've probably seen this or something similar....

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/live/partner/canimovetonz/whatisrequired/evidenceofpartnership.htm

We sent:

3 Council Tax Bills in joint names- June '06 to present day
3 Joint account Bills - June '06 to present day
2 letters from a friend and my Mom
2 Christmas Cards

We're neither photogenic and not married so couldn't produce certificates, pictures etc. I emailed our CO to ask if this were sufficient and she said yes, they're more interested in official documentation etc anyway.

As long as the evidence you have clearly shows that you have been in your relationship for 12+ months, I should think it would be sufficient.

Hope that helps

We submitted:
1 x joint account bank statement (from mid 2005)
Tenancy agreements covering the last three years.

It sounds like you have more than enough documents, and some are official, which is great.

Just check that they cover a significant time period, as I think that is what they are looking for as much as anything else.

Thanks guys!

I have stuff spanning the last 4 years so I think it will be OK. It is just so hard to know how much is actually enough so your posts have made me feel better :)
