Hi Leslie,
No the Doc should send them to your home address for you to add them to your ITA - they'll be in a sealed envelope (well they should be - ours weren't but it didn't seem to matter when I took the docs into the case officer).

Hi
When we had medicals done they were sent back to us with xrays and we sent the whole lot off with our ITA. Got PR just over a week later so it must have been right!!! :clap

The doctor sent our medicals back to us, we then included them in with our PR application. PR was then granted so it must have been OK.

We collected ours from the doctors a week later and included them in the ITA we sent to NZIS.

egad. i thought so. even at the end of session he said we'd recieve them the following week. i even wrote down home address when i paid the bill. they are panel doctors so how on earth could they make that mistake? guess i'll be phoning back on monday. this is a disaster - everything else is ready now.
the irony is my putney doc is the best doc i know of in uk and he wasn't allowed to do it as he isn't 'panel doc'. this one was the chichester one i listed in other thread - lovely day out but ...

It is now almost 5 weeks since our medicals (over £400 for 2 adults and 2 children) and they're still not here. Have been chasing up and the last news was that Dr hadn't completed Hubby's form they had been too busy talking! Hopefully they should be here in the next couple fo days!

5 weeks seems excessive!
We had our medicals at Bath last Wednesday. The doctor told me he would send them direct to NZIS. I queried this twice, until he rang up his admin. assistant who confirmed we would receive them in about 10 days. Perhaps the doctor was getting mixed up with Australian immigration requirements?
Anyway, I offered to take the X-rays away as he had finished with them; just need the medicals back now to complete our ITA. I certainly hope our Doctor doesn't take 5 weeks, else the medicals will be invalid for the new NZIS requirements! :uhoh

follow-up. as we specifically requested they be sent to us doc most apologetic. was prepared to go to nz house on day off to chase. he says they should be sent to nz house though. the contradiction is that nz house has emailed us the details on where to find meds and we are to print page out and enclose, with yet another cover letter explaining why they are there, in the ita.
when all is said and done - send them in with the ita.

I need to clear this one up, glad everybody else is getting mixed messages.
We just received our results + x-rays and excitedly opened them up to check it out, when I rang the clinic about my Glucose results which didn't appear to be there - they said the envelope was sealed and we should'nt have opened it! - But there was NOTHING on the envelope to say so and we have had NO communication to instruct us not to open it either.
My understanding was/is that:
1. We include the Medical forms and certificate from the clinic with our ITA
2. The x-rays themselves do not need to go, as most people keep them themselves.
Our intention is simply to add these docs to the ITA as per all the other stuff and send it in, if anyone thinks we should be going back to the clinic and getting another sealed envelope please let me know.
Cheers

We did not get our results in a sealed envelope and I have sent them off with my ITA. No complaints so far.
You have paid for the medical, why should you not be able to see the result.

Sorry we kept our x-rays, the doctor just looked at them and filled in the form. They are A3 size so very large to stick in the post. It was all recieved at NZ House on 19 Feb, just waiting to hear about next stage.
