Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could advise on which companies to use (best value for money and best service) on the following:

Internet Providers
Phone Companies
Car Insurance
Home Insurance
Gas
Electricity

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony

Whether one company or another is best value for money will entirely depend on your circustances. For starters try this website to get an idea of electricity and gas suppiers:

You can generally get a discount if you have your car and household insurance policies with the same company. It's worth looking at what the policies provide as well - State for example always provide me with a cheap quote, but their cover isn't nearly as comprehensive as that of the AA for only a few dollars more.
Gas and Electricity can be bought from the same power company as well, and you can also get a discount for this. Power companies usually offer discounts for prompt payment, and for paying automatically by direct debit. I think I get about 12% off each month for paying this way. (Not all companies are able to provide gas, so if you have a gas supply in your property it's worth buying all your power through a company that does.)
