I have AAT qualification, it was assessed as Level 4 (Diploma) by NZIS so 50 worthwhile points and I don't think you will have too much trouble finding a job provided you get the right kind of work experience. I don't think the qualification alone will get you a senior accounting role.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi
Did you get the qualification outside NZ?If so,was it awarded by City&
Gild/LCC/some other institution? What is the difference between AAT
and AT?Thank u

Sorry, AAT is The Association of Accounting Technicians. They are a UK organisation but are fairly well represented and recognised around the world. They have their own examinations, therefore not City and Guilds.
Maybe you have different organisations offering similar courses but it might be worth checking with NZQA that they are equivalent to NZ qualifications.
