OK, I know MAF dont seem to like wicker or rattan furniture, what about seagrass, we have two sets of bathroom storage drawers made of the stuff that I would like to bring.

Have emailed MAF a couple of days ago, but no reply yet.

Just got my reply from MAF, may be useful for anyone else in the future.

Thank you for your email. All products made from plant products ie
wicker, bamboo and rattan are usually inspected when they arrive in New
Zealand. The seagrass storage chests will also require inspection. When
completing the paperwork for New Zealand please declare all plant
products and food.
