I wonder whether there's any minimum amount of money required to be shown in the bank account prior to PR approval ? Something that will prove that the applicant is able to support himself financially during the move to NZ.

I think I've read somewhere that skilled migrants coming to NZ have to transfer a minimum of $100,000 to NZ before their PR application can be approved. I can't recall the source though, but is this true in any way? I've tried searching in the NZIS site but can't find anything relevant either.

for WTR offer (coming from skilled migrant application), you need $1000 NZD per month per person or $400 NZD if accommodation has been paid for.

this is for the first three months of stay in NZ.

No money transfer requirements (you might be thinking of the investor catagory which is a million or more, I forget, that wasn't the catagory I was applying under :laugh) Just a need to prove income for several years prior to application. There's no openly stated income level they're looking for but it seems to be a sufficient, steady income that would indicate the applicant will be able to support themselves adequately in NZ.
