Hey everyone,
It's been a while since I've been on, but thought I'd give an update of where I'm upto now.
I got in contact with my company's NZ operations a month or so ago and they seem keen on me which is great (but I've still got a long way to go yet!). I've got a telephone interview next week with the managers in Christchurch and I should be meeting them when I go out there again in November. I'm hoping that it won't be as daunting as if it were a completely new company, but I'm certainly not going to be taking any chances! Hopefully it all goes smoothly and they want me!
My current role has me committed till around April with the client - which is fine by me. So hopefully depending on the outcome of the interviews and what the business needs I'll be able to move in April. That time should also let me sort out immigration smoothly as well (famous last words...immigration and smoothly!).
In other news - I'm now a graduate member of the IPENZ which all got finalised last week. Thought it would be best to get that out of the way and also before any interviews to show a commitment to the NZ industry and chartership within NZ.
Hope everyone is doing well and on a lighter note I think I'd best go get another Speights and enjoy the rest of this evening.
Joe
