I'm used to almost 8 weeks annual leave and was wondering how you find it being reduced to four weeks.

It has been suggested that I try and negotiate and extra 1 week unpaid however I don't think that would go down well with my new colleagues.

I realise 4 weeks is still good but the extended
leave is one of the perks of the job in the UK.

Did you get used to less time off easily or do you still miss it?

I get 4 weeks basic , 1 weeks shift leave on your first anniversary and then 2 weeks of bank Holidays so I'm only down 1 week so not too bad.

It could be the sick leave that's a bummer if you're poorly as you only get 10 days per annum altho they roll on and you can roll over annual leave :nice1

I agree with Clare, I haven't noticed the difference, it would be very easy for me to take Leave Without Pay, but, I haven't had to.
Also, you can get more than nine day's paid sick leave, it's at the discretion of the boss.
