Hi everyone.
I have been going through lots of posts and enjoying reading everyone's views on everything - and boy there certainly is lots of views!
So thought it was time to introduce myself and family - hubby and 4 wee darlings aged 9 , 7, 5 and 3.
Was looking at Rangiora area but open to suggestions.
Can't sell our house so are looking to rent it out and then rent in NZ.
:cheers

Hi everyone.
Was looking at Rangiora area but open to suggestions.
Rangiora is very popular with incoming Brits. My cousin was principal of one of the schools there and he was receiving several enquiries a month from families moving into the area from the UK.

We did the visa's to australia and went last year to Brisbane to validate them. Have changed our minds - well hubby has - to NZ. We think that the visa's are valid for nz as well. So just need to book plane tickets and two cats to come with us.

Good luck with your move - you are so brave. My husband has been offered job in Queenstown but i'm not sure about leaving what I know. Hope it all works out for you.

Welcome to the forum :clap :nice1
I would double check the validity of your Australian visas for NZ by giving the NZ Immigration a ring at NZ House in London before booking flights.

I did email Nz immigration and they couldn't tell me for sure so will try with australia house to double check.
Queenstown is a lovely area - went bungy jumping there. Hot in summer and cold in the winter. A big step is always daunting but life is for living and that is to do and experience new things. Go for it!

Hi Karen
I have a few questions so hope you don't mind?
Which school in Rangiora is better than another - if at all?
What is Kaiapoi like for schools?
Do either get airport noise?
How are you finding it?
Thanks
Julie
