Dear alll

need your advice whether it works to subscribe to "job search service - preparation of cv and full marketing to prespective employer for 16 weeks at NZ$1,250" of a particular immigration group. I've handled my immigration process all alone till this point - submitting my ITA since oct 2007 and now waiting for INZ to get back to me - in May 2008, I asked a follow up question and was told my application is going through third party check. No job offer yet, so I await INZ to come to South Africa for interview. My profession has been more of academics and research at a lecturer, researcher and postdoc in agricultural economics with an international research institute in South Africa.

Money of course is not the issue but has anybody used this service to avail?

thanks in advance for your advice.

I know who you are talking about. You are aware that they will take a percentage of your salary depending on what job they manage to get you and i think you will have to pay it two weeks after you are in your role or something like that. I will not be able to use their full services as they will not be able to get the amount of money i need so they will look for 16 weeks, but due to personal circumstances needing a certain wage they have already said it may be unobtainable. They have said they will look for those weeks anyway. So in short have sort of used the services.

thanks for sharing your experience. Wondering if I may ask further - do they deliver and are they reliable (don't worry, I take responsibility if I deal with them)?
thanks

Hi folubode,

Just a note on the "interview"... You can arrange to do it in London if you are prepared to fly there apparently. My agents has suggested that once INZ have finished verifying my medical and ITA that it is possible to suggest that you will be in London and they may then offer an interview there. I will probably be doing this as currently it doesn't look like there will be any interviews here until next year and I'm hoping to move in January. Just a thought if you want to speed things up.

So far they have been really reliable and very honest when i have asked questions. The conversion of my CV to the New Zealand format was very thorough and i was extremely happy with it.
