Hi, it means Right of Way. If you're looking at a property with a ROW check out who is responsible for the up keep, usually it'll be everyone who owns a property along it, sometimes it could be one house and very occasionally it could be the council :nice1

We were just living on a ROW. It means it is behind the main road of houses (there is a side road leading to the property). In S Africa it was always called a panhandle - which kind of describes it!

Posted this on another thread today, might also be useful here, so check out How to read a real estate advertisment (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/settlementpack/Housing/FindingARentalHome/HowToReadARealEstateAdvertisement.htm)
