I had not thought I would have a question to ask at this stage, but yes, there are so many details for the move, so, here we go:

can Kiwi cars carry European bicycle racks?

We have a Dutch made Spinder Hawk rack for two bicycles. It needs to be fitted on the back of a car equipped with a tow hitch with a towball. The Spinder website says that it can be fitted on any tow hitch, but we want to make sure it works in NZ too before taking it with us (the .jpg image is attached).

The vast majority of cars in NZ come with a towball so your rack will fit most BUT most use 1 and 7/8" ball which you would need to change for 50mm probably for a European rack. Not a big deal or expense.
