Im looking to build a custom HiFi stand for the lounge. I can build this in Ireland before we come and hope that it fits in where we might rent in the future.

Alternately I can wait and build one there .... does anyone know what wood like MDF or similar costs in NZ? Size / Cost will be useful if anyone knows.

Wood and wood products etc is very cheap here.....even in Auckland Our local Placemakers (think B&Q) even have a drive-in wood section. OH bought some wood to fix a bed recently and it only cost $7 including being cut to required measurements on the spot.

I was reading that NZ is a large exporter of MDF, so hoped that it would be that way .....
