We're based in Wellington and recently had our status on the website change from selected to decission successful, but are yet to received out ITA through the post.
So that we can submit it ASAP I am keen to book in for medicals.
Can anyone tell me if the medical/x-ray/bloods need to be done in any specific order??
For example, does the doctor need to look at the x-ray and blood test results during your medical? Or are bloods not always required and the Dr would recommend what was needed? Also are there any forms that we would need to take with us?

Blood is always required and the doctor needs to check some boxes based on the results. Usually one would have the medicals and the blood done at the same time. The X-ray is looked at by a radiologist who makes a separate report.
I'd do the doctor first and see what they say. You can also have a look at the medical form and the guide found here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/formsandfees/formsandguides/healthcharacter.htm
Hope that helps

Would do the doctor first as depending on the medical will depend on what blood tests are requested (but you will always have some).
The doctor will review the x-rays and blood test results after they are done and then complete your form.
If you plan on doing all the tests on the same day as the doctors, then book the appointment early and don't eat anything from the night before so that if you need to take the fasting blood test then you can take it straight away, otherwise you will have to go back the next day.

Pretty much the same reply as IanW, I booked in with my Doctor for medical, he completed what he needed to - the blood requirements will depend on the results of your BMI calc/urine dipstick so they generally follow your initial consultation. Nipped off the following day for Bloods and X-Ray and popped into the Doctors 2 days later when all the results were in for the form signoff.
