Hello everyone :)

Was surfing away and found this site. First things First. Thanks 2 the moderators for keeping this forum more organized and also thanks 2 them for my membership approval.

I am still doing the ground work like comparing the lifestyle, costs & etc. Not sure what would I exactly miss if I make the move, but one thing is for sure, I won't be disappointed as I learnt from many posts that, almost every 1 is approachable and friendly in NZ.

I am still single and work in the IT Industry for an American Giant in India. I am looking forward for all your invaluable guidance, ideas and thoughts before and as I make the move :)

~Jai

You've stumbled upon a great site Jai! There's lots of learn here and like you, I'm slowly doing my homework and collecting information, contacts and great support along the way.

Take your time to post questions - folks here respond really fast! :yes.

P.S. You're lucky to be in IT - great job opportunities in NZ.

Thanks for the message Moorf- Btw: I always loved the country side life than the city life. I have lived in Bangalore and in Kualalumpur after completing my studies. Both are fast cities and can get pretty hot during summers. I don't dislike being in cities, but I am thinking for a change. Any day I would love to stay in a place which has laid back climate...

I am looking forward in moving to Wellington or may be Christchurch, if I find an employer. First preference would be Christchurch... Also I learnt that Wellington is wet all the year- some one wanna throw more light on this?

Thanks again.
