How does your medical last?

i.e. would it be worth me having a medical now, (as I am sure I will encounter some probs)? or shall I wait.

I hope to move in about 18 months- 2 years?

So if i had one now would i need to fork out for a second one closer to the time?

Am i making any sense?

The medical has to have been done within 3 months of being submitted with your application.

Yep, medicals are only valid for 3 months. Police checks are valid for 6 months (not that you were asking, LOL!)

Yeap, it's valid only for 3 months. So you have to wait till you get the ITA, and make sure to submit your ITA within 3 months starting from the date you receive your medical certificate. (Btw, your ITA expires in 4 months starting from the date you receive the application).
