I've been browsing the forum for a while but just registered as this now is getting quite real and will likely need advice pretty soon.

I've taken up a job offer a couple of weeks ago and am now in the process of professional association registration and work visa application. I will be moving from Calgary, Alberta,(cowtown#1) to Hamilton (cowtown#2) with my Kiwi boyfriend in March, but will probably get to NZ a month before that to tramp (yes I have already picked up quite a bit of the Lingo, which made the phone interviews a lot smoother!) around the South Island and Visit my boyfriend's hometown in Golden Bay.

I can't wait to see the beaches and learn to surf!

He's from Takaka. And yes it does sound like a wonderful place.
