Just wanted to post a quick Hi to you all. We are new to all this. We have decided (after much deliberation) that we would like to move and settle in New Zealand and so far have just complete the EOI form.
We are obviously in very very early stages - just a couple of questions to complete and then will be submitting the EOI before next Pool Draw a week on Wednesday I believe.
Bit of a vague question but roughly how long is the process from here on in? have been told could be 2 years before we move but other people have said could be matter of months? I guess it all depends on personal circumstances I realise that but just curious. Am very impatient and cant wait basically :)
No doubt you will see plenty of posts from us with lots of questions so any help very very much appreciated. So far have found this forum soooo helpful.

Hey,
welcome to the forum. We have just sent our EOI to our agents but may be a few months (or more) behind you as we are having OH's degree assessed by NZQA for some bonus points before EOI is finally submitted (:(:().
I am sure you will find lots of help and friendly advice on here.
Best of luck with the next selection,
Julie

hiya - you are quite right the length of the process is totally dependent on your circumstances :)
if you have no health issues, a job offer and all your qualifications and paperwork in the right state for NZIS then you can get through it quickly, otherwise it can take longer - much longer in some complicated cases
sorry, that didn't help mcuh did it? :D

Like the others said... it all depends... as fast as a few months to about a year...

Would agree with you on the 'addicting'! When I first found this forum I used to get up early in the morning just to have time to check on any new posts!
I think the forum is great because it is very active and of course most helpful as well. I've looked at other immigration forums but none seem to come close to this one - In my opinion!
