Did you guess the outcome of our interview! Thought you might! :laugh
Ok, unofficially our CO is recommending we get PR, but I will get 'the official phone call/result' early next week.
I asked him if it was fair to have me hold my breath all weekend, and said I'd be blue in the face by the time he called me back!
Oh what were we worrying about. What a relaxed chat. It was like chatting to my buddies, and the guy had a sense of humour too! See, THAT's why I love kiwis!
Oh me, oh my!

Would you mind on sharing with us on what question they ask during interview?
because i read from some post here that they get WTR visa instead of PR.
Are you very close to 140pts or, you have already arranged an employment in NZ?
Thank you.

Hi folks, thanks for your rae-bananas! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, oh me, my heids mush!
Ok, simply did a search under 'telephone interviews' on this forum and downloaded a set of typical questions at 1515 hrs (I left the office @ 1545 and got home at 1620, so no time to think about things really!) I bought a speaker phone on the way home so Mr G could hear and participate too! We were still fiddling with it trying to get it to work when he rang, and he rang back a minute later once we'd cracked it!
Both he and us were upbeat and informal: we've been to NZ twice and are under no illusions as to who, what, how, where, when... and are pretty down to earth folk, so we just nattered about the bread and butter of living in a new country.
I'll see if I can find that list and post it onto this thread.
We are on 135 points with no job offer yet, but that will be easier with the PR. I'm confident of temping till I get something perm once there, but we wont move till Ewan gets something in advance of our coming over........
We were so excited we phoned his folks first, but I ended up in tears when I was talking to his mum, she was trying so hard not to cry and be happy for us, but I could hear in her voice that she was devasted...'another step closer to you going' she said...
Gulp..................

Oh my God..........

Here it is!
Why NZ?
What would you do as soon as you arrive in NZ?
What is your plan?
Do you have any relatives/friends?
What kind of media did you use for research about NZ?
What will you do if you don't get a job as quickly as you would have hoped
What have you done to look for employment so far?
What support will you have in NZ?
What would you do if you came across any obstacles? (List possible obstacles)
What do you think about the impact of migrants on the socio-economic balance of New Zealand and the wider South West Pacific basin?
How much money did we think we needed to make a good living in NZ
How long did we think it would take to find work?
Mainly how do you plan to make friends ?
How do you intend to find work ?
What will your Partner do for a living?
What if you do not find work in the area that you have chosen to live?
How will you support yourselves ?
Where will you live?
When do you want to go?
What have you heard about NZ ?
Has anyone given you any advice about moving to NZ ?
Have you looked at schools ?
What are your hobbies?
Do you have any questions ?
Have you visited NZ?
What is your financial situation?
Have you looked at properties?
What wages to you expect?
What do plan, if you do not find the right job in your industry?
How much do you expect to pay for your flat/house?
How will you build up your social networks and get new friends?
