Am very excited this morning!!
Last night hubby had a phone interview for a job in Auckland and guess what?............. he was offered the job. Woo hoo!!!!
Couldn't sleep at all after he rang and told me about it.
There's so much to do. We've been working on getting the house into shape ready for going on the market but it all seems much more urgent now.
:yes
Just wanted to share the good news and thank everyone for their support (especially Kim39).
Yay!!! Can't concentrate on anything now.... just too excited. :yes :yes

Hiya Kiwidollie,
Firstly well done to your husband :nice1
I know just how you feel, I'ts the best feeling in the world. :raebanana :raebanana
I'm just so giddy and sleep well what's that. when John first rang and told me of the chances he was facing, I've laughed, giggled, jumped around like a ravin loony and cried, but sleep as been very little. he as been ringing me every night/morning around 4.30am to fill me in on that day's events and progress.
Like you we need to sell the house, our's as been on the market for 5 weeks but I didn't rate the estate agents we have been using so I have said my goodbye's to them and am awaiting the new one to start advertising, fingers cross we both have some more luck and we can all be off.
When does you husband start? will you need to stay behind to sell the house?
Sorry for the questions but I'm just curious how many people are in my position.

Just wanted to say congrats to you both....fabulous news!
I hope one of the job offers for John was Chch...no pressure but we did say if he didnt come and live here we would hunt him down and cook him on the japanese bbq!
Lots of things to sort, but at least the MAJOR bump is out of the way.
all the best to you both, and may you be very happy in your new homes

Congrats Kiwidollie! :nice1
Now if we only could find my hubby one of those companies that do phone interviews
and would offer him a job, the points we would get will be very welcome! :yes
But if needed I can always send him over to scout for one when the time comes.
I'd hate it to see him go off on his own tho and me and the boys staying home! :uhoh

Hi Alison,
:nice1 Am glad that contact came good for you and Neil. :clap Spoke to Neil last night and he seemed well chuffed. Looks like we could be near neighbours as he said it looked like you'll be off to Auckland.
Get that house marketed now.......................

Thanks for all your posts.
Suzy - Neil made it clear to the people in Auckland that no matter what happens we won't be moving anywhere until our son has taken his GCSE's in June./July. They were really cool about things and just said that's fine we're happy to wait for you. Hubby is an HGV Driver and they are in short supply everywhere at the moment (yay!).
We're going to go over on Work Visa and then hopefully sort out residency and the like once we're settled :yes
:hopeso :hopeso Fingers crossed that we can sell the house ok. Isn't it funny ... you spend so many years accummulating all your 'stuff', houses, cars etc., and then when you get the chance to do something fab like move to the other side of the world you just can't wait to offload everything!
Feeling goooooood today!!!
Positive vibes to one and all :cheers
