There's a big chain called New Zealand Natural that seems to have outlets in most big malls. Lots of cafes do smoothies, too. Not as prevalent as they are in, say, Australia, imho.

Tank is another large smoothie company - loads of outlets in Auckland.
Also places like Wendy's sell smoothies and milkshakes alongside the icecream. (This is Wendy's the ice cream place, not the burger place of the same name.)

Loads of cafes have smoothies on their menus too. Lots of seasonal variations according to what fruit is available.

Yo Life is another new chain i've seen around....they specialise in yoghurt/fruit smoothies.

In 7 weeks here in Wellington, I've only come across one smoothie shop. However, I have seen smoothies on many menus at cafes and restaurants. I'd say not quite as prolific as in the U.S., but not hard to find, either.

In Welly, not hard to find. There's a big food court opposite where I work. No shortage of pretty much any food / drink source.

I think you would face some extremely fierce competition!
