Hi there

Does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced A3/A2 size wall map of New Zealand?

I thought it might be a good idea to put one up for the children (and me!) to familiarise themselves with the different areas etc.

I looked high and low (from within the US) and the best place I was able to retrieve a couple of maps...was from a friend who was traveling to NZ. They are indeed wonderful to have not only for the kids but also for the adults to have an idea where communities are that others are referencing.

I have a whole set of places 'From Space' maps. They're not maps so much as photographs, but they're stunning. I've got Australasia, but NZ is unfortunately a bit small and off to one side as Oz is the centrepiece. But you can get them for individual countries,
so there might be one for NZ.

NZ House in London have a range of maps in their downstairs bit.
Touring maps of both Islands for eg and then information leaflets about different area in both Islands.

All fold up into a 1/3 or 1/2 of A4.
Don't know if they will post you any. (there are free to pick up there)
Perhaps if you explain you want them for the children???

Hi, we looked everywhere for one before we came away, I finally got one from borders at the outlet village, they had several to choose from, I know it is nearly three years ago, but I am sure they will order one in for you if they haven't any in stock.

Have a look through the Stanfords (www.standfords.co.uk) website - they have a few NZ maps under the Wall Maps section. Most large booksellers should have touring maps for NZ - although if it's for putting up on the wall - watch out for the double sided ones !

They sell world maps here that are 'upside down' so NZ is at the top. I really like them; something about northern hemisphere elitism.
