Hi All,

My wife Julie has done this job for the last 4 years in the UK and has NVQ level 2 which equates to about a NZ level 3. The job is on LTSSL but requires NZ level 7 which there is no UK equivalent.

Our question is if we came over on a tourist visa and Julie got a job offer would we be able to get a visa?

She won't have a recognised qualification for a Pre School Teacher and would have to do some more training (no problem to us).

Without valid qualification does that undermine job offer, work experience and validity of points for job on LTSSL?

Many thanks

Try PM'ing 5Kings as I know that she has been looking into this.

If she is willing to do training, what about a student visa?
Of course, then each of you would need your own visa.
And then apply for PR later.

Just a thought. It was something we considered.

Thanks for replies, it sounds like there could be work perhaps as a trainee if brave enough to go on tourist visa. However without the relevant qualification would not be able to claim the points for job on LTSSL and so would make us very light on points = questionable whether this would give us enough points to qualify for NZ visa?

Best regards
Steve & Julie
