we are debating the old 'what to bring appliance-wise' topic at the mom. hub thinks their should be decent cheap asian imports available as well as f&p etc. dont believe this to be true but hey

other thing, we're big on integrated appliances - are they premium priced in nz too?

years ago we bought my mum a washing machine as a thank you. as we weren't very flush at the time it was the cheapest one we could find. It was a Candy and lasted my mum over 18 years and she was really upset when it eventually rusted through. Since then we have bought various machines, some expensive, but none have lasted as long or washed as well as that bottom of the range one we bought mum. Think its the luck of the draw and how the individual machine comes off the production line. Since then I haven't been too brand name concious.

i get really annoyed if have to reload the dishwasher! we use those stupid tablets because they are the best of the lesser evils. its probably london water in all cases but clothes here aren't 'clean' no matter how good the washer. we've learned to rely on good, big names to keep us from going insane. maybe we wont need to do this when we get to nz???

I never feel like I an get my clothes clean here either Leslie...... maybe it's just something we have to put up with these days.......

I dont care how much a soap powder reckons it will wash in cold water - if you have grease on your clothes you are going to need a hot wash to get it out.
