Transport bolts for shipping a washing machine

Did anyone ship a washing machine with or without the transport bolts to hold the drum down?

The ones that came with our washer are long gone. Are they really necessary for shipping and any ideas where to get them / what they cost?

Thanks

We shipped our front loader without them and it wouldn't drain afterwards, so I would suggest you do try to get find some way to stabilise the drum!

We did and made sure we packed the open space with towels to stop more movement than neccessary, basically packed it real tight. Am sure once you are this side take a visit to your local washing repairman and i'm sure he will fix you up with some sort of bolts for future movement of it.

I didn't even know you had to pack the drum OR bolt it into place :uhoh

Not that it really matters now - I HAD planned on shipping it out there, till the damn thing broke down (for good this time I think!) :(
