We sent a photocopy of each item, put behind the original document in each case, thats what form said to do.
We did not send an envelope to have stuff posted back as they did not ask for one, but we got it all back by special delivery from NS house within a couple of days. And our PR was granted no bother. Think it cost us nearly a fiver to send it all off to them by special delivery.
With regards to living together stuff, we sent our marriage cert, a photo from last years hols a bank statement and a current mortgage statement, both in joint names.
Hope this helps

Hi Marie - we can chat about this tomorrow (we're sending our ITA back on Tuesday), but here goes what we'll be sending:-
1. Marriage certificate, copy of latest mortgage statement (in Joint names)
2. Doesn't say you need to but we're going to as well: at postoffice weigh your self addressed envelope with all you original documents (excluding passports if you're sending them), and get the post office to give you the right postage for recorded/registered delivery to put on the SAE.
3. Yes, clearly states this, if you send originals you must also include (behind the originals) a copy. If you're sending certified documents it is not needed as they won't return these anyway. To be on the cautious side I've copied every document twice - once to keep here at home just in case something 'happens' to the originals.
Hope this helps!! :hopeso that you get your medicals etc back in time, you should do. We had our appt on Fri 18/2 and received all this morning (Sat) so just over 2 weeks.
See you at lunch tomorrow!
Babette
