When we received our ITA, it came with a cover letter from a Case Officer whom I've been emailing when I have questions regarding documents to be submitted.
Now that we have returned the ITA with all the required documents, I'm a bit confused:confused: whether this same Case Officer will be handling our PR application.
As I've read in the previous post, a Case Officer will be assigned after a certain time. Also the email I received from NZIS confirming receipt of our application didn't mention anything about a Case Officer to be assigned.
Any insight would help :nice1

Hi there Aven
Our initial ITA Cover Letter also gave us details of our Case Officer. I have continued to keep in touch with her throughout the entire process, after the submission of the ITA. I'm assuming that you have a job offer? Generally, if an applicant has a job offer, they are assigned a case officer straight away.
As I've read in the previous post, a Case Officer will be assigned after a certain time.
I believe that it is only applicants that do not have a job offer that generally have to wait longer to be assigned a case officer. Not that they are assigned one initially, then another later in the process!? I would say continue to contact the originally named case officer.
This is how it has worked within the London Office; I'm assuming that it is a pretty universal standard procedure.
Good Luck with your application.....

Be aware, CO's change offices around the world.
Your original CO could change.

I've heard that on occasions, when people have tried to contact their CO's they've had an email back saying that the person has left/no longer works there! Don't want to scare monger you, as I've said, we've been really lucky with ours [Touches wood! :)]

Actually, I do not have a job offer.
But I haven't really emailed the Case Officer after submitting the ITA to find out. I only sent her an email informing my recent sending of the documents.
So to find out, I'll try to email her tomorrow.
Thanks!

Our CO changed a few times before the ITA submission, and once afterwards if memory serves me right. Our case was referred to the medical assessor, and when returned from them, was given to a completely different CO. It all worked out in the end though. :)

I received a reply from the previous Immigration Officer today and said there will be another Case Officer to be assigned after a week or so.
So, I just have to wait then.
Thanks guys.
