For the botanic minds on the forum, what region do you see as the most botanically interesting in NZ? Why?

What are some of the most botanically interesting places to live for those of you who gain some semblance of nourishment from gardening or nature walks?

The country has many plants/trees/shrubs that are native only to NZ. And plants that can grow there with soil/temp requirements that are new to many immigrants.

Share photos if you have any!

I'm tempted to just say ''everywhere"....you'll find something botanically interesting pretty much anywhere you go in NZ.:nice1 Here's some I'm familiar with:

A personal must-see is the Waipoua Kauri Forest

Around Auckland:
Rangitoto Island has a pohutukawa forest growing on a recent volcano
