Hi Folks

Wonder if anyone can tell me if you can re-apply for temp visa when first one runs out and if you can how many times you can do this.

You can re-apply, but you have to re-apply with plenty of time before your current visa expires, I remember reading that when I applied for my temp visa. You will need to prove your case all over again (job offer, etc.). Also, I don't remember them limiting how many times you can do that. As long as you have the job offer and other requirements, you can get it again. I remember the application stating that if you want to switch employers, you can find another one, but then you have to re-apply.

Just to be sure, I would send your embassy or NZ immigration an email asking them this question. They are very helpful and will tell you the correct answer.

Thanks for that Timeanzbound.I have got a job lined up in SI got employment contract and stuff from employer but can only go on temp working visa.I just wanted to know if I could re-apply because it s a big gamble to sell everything up for 2 or 3 years but if I can keep getting temp visa renewed then it ll be worth it.

Can I ask why you can only get temp work visa? If it's because it's quickest route to getting out to start job you may be able to apply for different visa i.e. WTR or go for permanent residency when you get here providing you have the required points etc - just a thought :o

I can only get a temp visa as my job is only on the issl I am a truck driver.I have got a job lined up in invercargill
