EOI submitted, selected 13/8/08 ITA issued 5/9/08 returned 8/9/08 (with job offer) and recieved 165pts
in the meantime WTR applied and received, sponsor working and student visas received so no issues on medicals, police checks etc
what sort of timeframe should I be looking at surely its a tick box exercise?

Not sure if you have applied in Wellington or UK for your PR (I'll assume Wellington)?

Although you would think that it was just a tick box exercise I believe that they just treat it as a new application so having the WTR doesn't appear to help.

When we applied for our PR from our WTR (in Wellington) we were told it could take up to 12 months, they don't appear to be in a rush as you don't NEED the PR.

Others on the forum have said in the past that it took them between 2-4 months, where 4 months seems the average.

I'm also sure that it will depend on current workload and which office you have applied through.

What I will say is that if you do actually need the PR through quickly, then go and visit them and put your case forward as to why you need it and they will do their best to accomodate you (or at least they did for us).
