I swear... hubby's had 3 of these now. He is getting close to packing his bags and leaving. He's at the end of his tether! Highly qualified in his field (tool making) and has warehouse & driving experience, too.

His agent said there was a company that had seen his CV, had an opening, and wanted to interview him. Why they insisted on wasting his time, I honestly have no idea. He got there and they told him this: "There is no job available, and we wouldn't hire you anyway because you're a foreigner [we have PR] and you'll want to leave the country".

What the hell kind of attitude is that??????!!!!!! I told him to go yell at his agent, too. Honestly, getting him "interviews" for jobs that don't exist, at companies that wouldn't hire him anyway.

How rude is that "There is no job available, and we wouldn't hire you anyway because you're a foreigner [we have PR] and you'll want to leave the country".

Bet Hubby would not want to work there with that attitude.

I had a friend help me with my company as she could not get job, told her even though I was not paying her to put it on her CV but be upfront re only helping me, no pay. She got offered 2 job straight after. Had previously applied for 100's.

No wonder they can not fill vacancies over here.

Good luck where are you based?

Interesting, thanks! :nice1

We're south end of the Kapiti Coast.

So hubby called his agent. Agent said the company was very interested and had called to check he was coming. She was "surprised" at their reaction to him, but then said "oh it must be the American thing". Uh... WHAT?
