My EOI Just got selected a few days ago. I had previously been looking for work and had a couple of interviews but finally decided to start the Process proper.
If anyone on here could put me in touch or knows of any comapnies currently looknig to recruit an experienced (5 years) .Net Application Developer/Architect with Lead development and Team leading skills it would be much appreciated if you could let me know. Be very nice to have a job organised etc. :)

Hi David,
I recently signed on with Datacom (www.datacom.co.nz) as a Java Tech Lead, and I know they also have large .Net business units. Have you tried contacting them?
They're a pretty large IT company (> 200 software developers in Wellington alone). You might want to send them your CV.
As in pretty much any case, you'll most likely need to be available for face-to-face interviews though. I had two phone interviews with them from Austria, then came here, had two more interviews and got an offer within the first week.
I'll only be starting work in two week's time, if you PM me, I can show your CV to my manager. But as I said, it'll only make sense if you can be in the country some time soon.
Apart from that, I noted that the business of getting a job has become a bit slow recently, what with the upcoming NZ elections and the financial crisis, and with Christmas approaching, it probably won't pick up too much speed before February.
But you should certainly be alright with your skillset, .Net is bigger here than Java in IT.
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks, I've not done much with some of the supplementary technologies as of yet but I have been working with vs 2008, SQL and XML throughout my career so far.
I'll get a CV to you as soon as I get home from work.
