Hey guyz,
me and my fiance just started looking through webpages so plz be patient if some of my questions might sound a little too naiv ;)
First I guess I have to describe our situation:
We are a German/ Sudanese couple (3 years now :), but upto this year forced to live seperately in Germany and India because of studies) who is looking for a place to live together.
I finished my MBA in June in Germany and have already more than 2 years working experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Marketing. My fiance finishes his Bachelor in Pharmacy next year and also has 2 years working experience in his field.
Now we are finally together in India but hoping to get to NZ by next year.
We don't wanna stay in Germany (and even German Immigration politics is hard) and we cannot stay in Sudan for two reasons:
1. because of discrimination regarding my color and religion (For my boyfriend it would be hard to find a job, his father would not figure him as a son of his anymore and in case of children they would be discriminated too) and
2.the economic situation which will make it hard for him to work as a Pharmacist over there.
As NZ seems welcoming couples and skilled migrants we figured it would be best to settle down in New Zealand.
We were thinking that he could apply for Skilled Migrant and me, I try to find a job over there.
So now to our questions:
For my fiance:
1. What are the next steps to do for him? Is there another chance for him to go to NZ than via Skilled Migrant? What does he have to submit? (IELTS, some funds...??)
2. What are the chances for him as he is from Sudan?
3. Can he apply from India (there is no New Zealand embassy in Sudan)?
4. How long would the process take?
for me:
1. How long does it take from getting a job till getting a working visa for that.
2. What are the chances for me? I heard Logistic and Supply Chain Management as well as Marketing are skills needed in NZ...
3. Do you have some tipps where I can look up for a job?
4. Can I also get a working visa in India or do I have to go back to Germany?
Puuh, that's it for now. Am going back to get some more infos from the net ;)
