Greetings.

The sign on the topic says Introductions so here I am. We've been thinking about emigrating for a couple of years and finally decided that it's time to 'put our toes in the water'. There's four of us all together - myself, my wife & our two little ones (a daughter aged 7 and a son aged 5).

We went to the recent Emigrate show @ Aintree, Liverpool & got some pretty good advice (although it was from agencies promising more...) but one thing that I'm having trouble with is find a decide NZ IT job site on-line.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

And hello and welcome from me, too. :) The NZ people will be online later, and I expect you'll get some answers then.

hello and welcome

search for jobs at www.seek.co.nz - from the jobs that come up you will be able to see the agencies and then go look at their web sites.

good luck.

Who'd of thought so many Yorkshire folk living in nz. Must be something to do with those wide open spaces I keep hearing about.

Genie, I'm from Bradford and I'm currently looking @ Wellington on the basis that I probably need to be near a city of some size as I work in IT. How about you?

Best of luck in your job search. I'm in IT in Welly and can pass your CV around the company (accredited employer) I work for if you'd like. PM me if you'd like to do that. :)

Yeah, it must be something to do with fresh air being free :exit Settle down now, I can say that being as I come from 'Ull. Lived in Leeds for some time, opposite the Gaiety Bar on Roundhay Road. Yeah, that one!! ;)

Good luck with the job hunt, I hope you find something you feel right at home in.

Someone already mentioned Seek which is good otherwise try http://jobuniverse.co.nz/

However I have to say that the best place if you are looking for larger companies are their web sites. I'm in telecom and know that TNZ, EDS, ALU, Kiwibank and IBM are all looking - well at least they were.

...they also help you with some of the relocation costs and hassle.

All the best from a former Leeds lad, York resident and Sheffield student!

Hi and welcome to the Forum. My OH (originally from 'Uddersfield) works in IT, in this thread http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16386 you'll find details of the agencies he used. We're now in Auckland although he did get a job offer for a position in Wellington too.

Good luck!
