Hi

Well my hubby has been out of work 4 weeks, not a sniff of a job, and redundancy money rapidly dwindling, and still no benefits sorted out! Can't believe how long it all takes!

We are now thinking maybe get the house on the market asap and just go for it. If we don't find work here (UK) soon or start getting some benefits, we'll end up being repossessed anyway. It really is that bleak. I have had to leave my Uni course to try and find work to keep our heads above water, andhave spent all day trying to find a seasonal job in a shop, while I wait for something better to turn up.

On a good note we have now emptied our loft, so that's one job ticked off the to-do list!

Going to the Expo on Saturday (a day without the kids, can't wait) hubby is taking his CV and some CDs with his work on, so fingers crossed something positive might come out of it.

Enough of my moaning, thanks for all the fab stories on here recently, it's inspirational.

Hi

Hubby is a graphic designer, and I am a wannabe teacher. I was planning on doing my teacher training here, then go to NZ in a couple of years, but if we can get to NZ will apply for the training over there once we get PR.

Oh, I feel for you. We have been through 1 redundancy and several 'short term contracts' in the last few years. Its horrible and I'm really sorry you've had to leave your course.
Good luck at the Expo, I hope everything works out for you.
