Here's a paragraph from an email I've just received from our CO.
Our decision on your application
I am pleased to tell you that we have approved in principle your application for a New Zealand residence visa.
I thought I'd include this to show those of you still waiting what you can expect. It's still sinking in, but I guess this means we'll be able to call ourselves Kiwi's in early 2009. Woohoo!!!

Well the email was forwarded by my agent as we chose to use an agent. However, I get the impression that you can select to receive communications via email. The CO's mail was quite chatty telling us to forward any further questions we may have and wishing us good luck. We're going to need lots of luck to try and get our house sold before we leave.

They did come out in March or April this year. Any idea why you didn't get an interview then? I have heard a rumour they may be out next month, but no confirmation on their website yet. I was told that it would be posted here once they confirm when they are coming.
