OK, DH and I have been chatting now that the EOI has been selected and have some questions which we are hoping that some of you a bit further along the line might be able to help with

1) Any recomendations for Doctors in Central Scotland? Prices? How long it takes to get an appointment etc? so we can try and plan it in. Don't want to go too soon, but hope to have it by the time we ge tthe ITA so we can do a quick turnaround.

2) What are we asking for when we ask for a Police Certificate up here? CHecked the Police website...is it the Data Protection Act disclosure or is it via Disclosure Scotland?

3) And finally, (sorry, there's a lot I know!) how long are London currently taking to get from EOI to issuing ITA..have heard tell of between 4 weeks and 4 months. Currently there is no job offer, so I know that it will be slower but want to make sure that Medicals and Police certs don't run out if we do get them before it is issued (depending upon waiting times etc.) We are currently thinking of asking for them mid December-ish, maybe start of January.

Thanks in anticipation

Mamee

You need to get the ACPO certificate nowadays.

Specific procedure for United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Go to the Association of Chief Police Officers website www.acpo.police.uk and click the Police Certificates Button, at the bottom left of screen. The instructions for applying for the certificate are on the form.

Scotland
Police certificates from the Association of Chief Police Officers of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland (ACPO) also cover Scotland. All citizens and residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including those resident in Scotland) should apply through ACPO.

Hi Ian

Thanks for that. Another thing to do crossed off the list now! :nice1

If anyone can give me any info on Doctors or EOI times to case officers recently I would be grateful.

Thanks

Mamee

Hi,
I think that it takes about 6-8 weeks from EOI submission to selection. But as many of us know that can be shorter or longer! Not much help :exit
