Hope some people can share ideas on what INZ on Third Party Verification checks. In may I asked the status of my application and received this response from my VO:

"...Your application is currently undergoing 3rd party verification checks. You will be advised in wiring if any further information is required from your directly or if there is any change to your status..."

Few days ago, I enquired again and received same responsewas told same.

"There are still verification enquiries ongoing regarding your application. These remain confidential so that the processed is unbiased. We will contact you in writing if we need anything further from you directly."

The questions I have are:

What does this process involve and what could be missing?
How can I make things faster without biasing the process as INZ claims?

thanks for your help. No job offer yet and have submitted ITA since 1 year ago - I understand no job offer has to be patient but don't think that is indefinite.

I don't know for sure, but we had something a bit similar to this. I can't remember the exact wording but once the decision on the ITA had been made by our CO, it had to be checked through by either a co-worker or a manager.

With any luck this is what is happening to you and your wait COULD soon be over!!

A year does seem rather a long time. Will they be checking with employers that what you have said is true?

Yes Castleclan, that's my main concern - a year is unreasonably long. Anyway, keep waiting. Just thinking is something I could help.
