Hi Guys :P

the pressure is really on now, don't know how many of you are at a simular stage as us, but our man in the agency stated that new medical proceedures are coming in on the 4th April 2005 whereby they'll be alot more intensive, and therefore alot more expensive.

We've booked ours for 17th March 2005, which will be cutting it fine and were quoted £145.00 each including all the blood tests and chest x-rays. We did a bit of shopping around the medical practices, and were quoted as high as £250.00 each, so it's worth looking.

One doctor said that they're still working out prices for the new medical proceedures, but he expects it to go up from anything from £50 - £100 per person.

Fingers crossed for you guys. :hopeso :hopeso You should just be able to make it. Ours took 2 weeks to come back. So providing you've got all other documents and evidence ready, NZIS will hopefully receive your submition just before 4Th April.

I have just realised that my medicals are out of date........ :oops: I got them done end July last year, then our house sale fell through and there was no pressure to go to NZ house... so I didn't.... Sigh! :roll: :no

We're putting the house back on the market next month, so I need to get my finger out and get everything finalised. I'll need to get my medicals done again, grrrrrrr :roll:

ANYway...... anyone know how this works? I mean, presumably as long as I can get them done before 4/4 (to minimise cost etc), then they will be valid for 3 months which in theory(!) should be enough time for me to get my butt into gear and take all my paperwork to NZ house?? ie you don't have to have old medical paperwork to NZIS before 4/4, you just have to have the medical done before 4/4?? Yes??

Crap. Just checked all my docs, and my police certs are out of date too, so I'm guessing there's no way I'll be able to get my medicals redone and get down to NZ house before 4/4 :no :wah :wah

dinafreash you are wrong sorry, if you are putting the ITA in after the april thingy the medicals need to be on the new form, so you need the new medicals.
Our case worker phoned and told us as we are putting our application this week to get in before the april cut off.
