We're all (OH, 5 year old son and me) booked in to have our medicals done tomorrow with Dr. Million in Manchester... wish us luck, thanks :nice1

Don't worry, it's nothing particularly scary. Deep breath and smile! I did mine two weeks ago and the stress beforehand was infinitely worse than the actual medical. Good luck!

the worst part is paying the cheque at the end!

sitting in my boxers on the doctors bed was a bit odd though!

Thanks all for the words of encouragement... feeling a bit faint and dizzy at present, as I've had nothing but water and lettuce all day ;) :D

It's 11:27pm... time for an early night :nice1

How did your medicals go? Any unusual questions/tests I should know about as OH, son and I have our in Hull on Friday.

Well, that wasn't too bad. I must say that Dr. Million is a great guy and made us feel very welcome.

Our little one was well occupied with the chest of drawers in his office, where numerous childrens toys are kept... needless to say our bag of bits that we took was a waste of time.

On the face of it everything seemed fine... OH's BMI is 21 and mine is 23, bloods and chest x-ray taken for the 2 of us and in general the 2 hours consultation whizzed by.

The only painful bit was paying the bill at the end... £125 each for examination (£55 for little one's), £129 each for blood test package and £70 each for chest x-ray... comes to a grand total of £703  :no

... all I can say is NZ had better be worth it :D
