UK Groceries, FREE home delivery

We have discussed in the past a few NZ shops that do imported UK goods, i often use my local one to grab a few packs of Walkers crisps each month.

But reading the local magazine this week i saw an article interviewing a local couple that have started a similar business of UK goods, and do free home deliveries (to wellington region anyhow). And reasonable delivery costs to rest of NZ.

AND, they do some groceries far cheaper than other similar shops. Leccy-Lee might be placing a home delivery for some crisps :nice1
Although there range of goods seem far less than my local uk store, thought i would add this one to your lists anyhow.

i'm starting to think it is cheaper to import walkers crisps into NZ than buy them in Tesco over here in the UK :)

It's tempting very tempting but I'm a firm believer that I have to live with what's on offer in the shops, I'm too afraid if I taste it I'll miss it too much & keep buying it :yes

Lee are the crisps in date? I only ask because I got some at our local UK shop and they were a couple of months out of date and tasted like it too! At that price if they are in date I shall place an order!

Thanks for the link Lee:)

They have Atora too (albeit light)! Weren't you looking for that as well? BTW been told that shortening is similar to suet.

About Atora, I found Zardell had said this some time back.

Oh and suet is suet mixed with flour, so instead of using 1 suet (Atora for the Brits reading this) to 2 flour, I now have to use 2 suet mixture (Shreddo) to 1 flour.

I was interested because there's a traditional family recipe of ours that I passed on to my son that uses suet. He couldn't find any packet kind (I guess he didn't run across Shreddo), and ended up getting a lump from the butcher's that he had to grate up - much more hassle than the original make.

Steph.

I had forgotten all about gravy granules!

I'd never seen them before moving to Wiltshire and had to be told what they were for ... and in the end I did get far too used to 'cheating' with them....
but never gave it another thought when we came here.

It doesn't 'work' the same as suet !! Not sure what the results would be ..
