So OH has found yet another way to get into NZ... just in case... (yes we're desperate!)

There is a course that he can take to learn how to teach English as a second language... It's considered a level 5 and he can take the class in either Denver, CO here in the US or in Auckland! The course is a month long and you would be eating and breathing English!

My brother currently lives just outside of Denver so OH would be able to stay with him or a friend of his for cheap... If we have to use the WHV & BUNAC to get to NZ we're going to see about having him go to the Auckland one... then I would meet up with him after he's done and we would work our way to Welly then start working on getting PR again...

So if we take this route, how is the job market for that in NZ?

Thatīs an interesting option.

I would suggest another way to get a work visa: being a month long you would be eligible to a student fare to travel to NZ. This means that you should be able to spend a month there looking for a job offer while staying in a family house [or a student hotel].

Just for comparison, if we were to go to NZ from Brazil as students the cost for two 2-way tickets + 1 month accommodation with meals + 1 month English course + 1 month travel insurance would be in the order of US$5.000,00 for both of us.

I suppose that this would cost even less if you are going from the US. Surely it will be much faster than the actual Skilled Migrant process that we are participating right now.

A friend of mine has just taken this course here for free & now does voluntary work helping those who cannot speak English, so not sure what the paid market is like but as a volunteer would be good but not what you need
