once we have ourblue stickers(hoping next week!!) We are hoping to go before xmas still.

my dad is going to come out quite soon after and stay for 6 months, he is 84 and so far im being quoted £1500 to cover him for travel insurance with uk based firms !!!

Are there any options once out there to arrange health insurance in new zealand for him even though he wont be a resident?

I'm not sure regarding sorting Insurance from inside NZ but my folks came over recently and their health insurance cost approx. £850 each for a 3 week visit.

FYI - my Mum (68yrs) is a diet controlled diabetic with high blood pressure who smokes. My Dad (73yrs) has high blood pressure & cholestorel (sp?) and an artifical hip. They are both on medication and their conditions are under control.

They went through SAGA to sort their insurance.
