Timbo

I've posted this pic before (but it was a few months ago now). This is the house that PB grew up in. It's situated just outside Feilding (near Sandra & Dave). However, when he lived in it, it was in Ruahine Street in Pamerston North. Amazing eh.

The 2nd pic was taken a couple of years ago in the Waikato - thought you may like to see it.

That house is beautiful Diny. PB was a lucky lad. It sure beats the high rise flat I spent my first 10 years in!!!

We are looking at the possibilty of buying a section, and re-locating a house onto it. The following link has some amazing (on the face of it ) prices.

and another, but no prices here;

I agree Timbo, it does look "Stunning!! "

Anyone know of any horror stories with regard to moving properties like this. Things must go horribly wrong from time to time ?
I'd be interested to hear of anything. I guess there would be insurance, but if it all went pear shaped how far would you be covered ie: could you still get your dream house you chose rebuilt or would you have to start looking again ?

Interesting they move these houses during the day! When we were driving from Wellington to Auckland at night (not sure exactly where) a house was crossing the bridge! :laugh

It was really weird to see a house on wheels!

Hi

I'm new to this forum - what a great picture :clap . Does anyone know if there are similar 'house yards' on south island?
