Just a quick question on partnership sponsoring.
I have a partner sponsored work permit now as my OH had a job offer. So I'm here for a year at least!
Our PR is in the works but I am concerned that the medical assessor will flat out reject me with no chance for appeal. :( Doing my best but we will see. Not all the documents are in yet but I am just preparing for the worst. Have joined a gym + personal trainer as the last necessary 20kg will not budge. :wah
My question is, if I do get rejected and I manage to get myself removed from the PR application can my OH sponsor me at a later date?
Here is what NZIS says about that:

An eligible sponsor is a New Zealand citizen or resident who:

* has not previously supported or sponsored more than one other successful principal applicant under Partnership policy
or
* has not supported or sponsored any other successful principal applicant under Partnership policy in the five years immediately preceding the date the current application is made

Does that mean if he hasn't sponsored anyone else or is that including me as I was sponsored before?

Any ideas?

Just going to give this a bump for a maybe answer?

I think your quote answers itself really...

It says "successful principal applicant", so if you pull out of your PR application then you won't have been successful, so your OH would be free to sponsor you again.

I guess I'm confused because I am the principal applicant under my current partnership policy work visa and OH is the sponsor there.
Re-reading it I think it applies more to if a NZ citizen or resident wanted to use the partnership sponsorship route to sponsor a string of different significant others in a short time period then NZIS would frown on that.

ok. Think I can stress less about that. Thanks.
